There are so many awesome hiking trails to explore in midcoast, Maine. It's an amazing place where you can be on a mountain and see the ocean and many beautiful lakes at the same time. The views are truly spectacular. Now that it's fall, we've been hiking more and watching the leaves change right before our eyes. Sometimes we run into some local folk that get really close to the edge...

We often take some food with us and picnic once we get to the top of the mountain. We ended up hiking a little further one day and got to a peak without an overlook. It was still beautiful and we had a delicious lunch of local, homemade ceviche. Gourmet eating in the middle of the woods makes us feel more fancy. Gotta love it.
