Now that i have this blog, all i want to do is write about everything is see! It's also hard to separate work and active learning for me right now. Since the concept is fairly new to me and the industry is advancing, making that new everyday, I really have my hands and mind busy.
Take for example this M&Ms game, it's for the resurfacing of the "dark chocolate peanut M&M", which happens to be a favorite among many people i know. The game is an interactive banner which is also a game (the only thing really keeping peoples' interest on the Internet these days) where you have to locate 50 horror movies. In about 15 minutes, I only got 17!
So, what's the point? Advertisers want people to click on their banner. Not only do they want you to interact with the banner, but they also want you to stay...and then COME BACK. With a game that is challenging, fun, and includes save and pause, the amount of time the user is going to spend on this is pretty high.
These banners are getting better and better, which makes me happy because they are smarter, more involved, making us not only these zombie computer users, but the actual entity that makes the Internet thrive.
