1, 2, skip a few, I'm back

I'm back from the big European, cross Atlantic journey of a lifetime. Many, many ups, some downs, but mainly AMAZING. The laptop dreams had sunk, but nothing else had. I continued to write and take photos documenting our trip and the people we met along the way.

Unfortunatley, I was robbed in Brussels and my brand new camera with the bag and everything in it was gone. The worst part is, the journal I was keeping the whole time was also gone. Yup, that's right, me, the tough New Yorker was actually the victim of a horrific Houdini scam that left me in one of those nightmarish situations, in another country, without a passport, id, credit cards or cash. Not to mention, my dignity and livelihood along with that.

Even though it was unfortunate this happened, we were pretty lucky. We weren't harmed and the US embassy helped get us our passports very quickly the next morning. Also, Matt had his credit and debit cards. I was also able to get an American Express temporary card, which was all I needed for the voyage home.

Still uploading photos onto my computer from the DVDs i was able to make from the SD cards before they got stolen. At least I have that a lot of editing to do!
