We started out by having dinner at 7A in the lower east side. Since Max had never been to that part of the city, we took a walking tour around alphabet city, which is much nicer these days. After walking around, we headed to Brooklyn...somewhere I don't venture to that often. Ellen Alien was playing at Studio B and I had been looking forward to it for a long time.
It seemed like an easy enough ride, only 3 stops on the L and then a short walk. Well, a short walk turned into an hour long exploration of Greenpoint Brooklyn. It reminded me of the underdeveloped parts of San Francisco when i used to go out taking photos of the run down parts of the city. Max made a great model for some patriotic graffiti.

The venue, Studio B is a huge space, big dance floor with an upstairs for smoking or just hanging out, with a separate bar.

Next was on to dancing, and when I dance, I'm at the front getting down! Little did i know that Ellen would be dancing right along side of me! What great energy, we were pumped!

What a great time we had, refreshing, rejuvenating and totally worth the trip to Brooklyn. I think it only took me 2 hours to get home. :)
